2 Men Rob Woman of Necklace, Wallet at Noon on Old Willow Road

Someone also scratched a Lexus and stuck a nail in its tire.

Robbery

A victim reported being robbed by two men in the 2900 block of Old Willow Road on Sept. 11 between noon and 12:20 p.m.

Two men pulled alongside the victim in a beige or light brown, four-door, older model rusty sedan and offered her a ride. The offenders stole headphones and a wallet containing a work ID and $15 from her purse. They also grabbed a chain on her neck, breaking it and causing abrasions to the victim.

The passenger in the car is described as a dark-skinned black man, possibly of mixed ethnicity, in his mid-30s with a full beard and healed scratches on face. He was five-foot-seven, with a muscular build and a medium-size tattoo of cross on right side of his neck and stars tattooed on both hands. He was wearing a knit cap with natural hair protruding below its sides, a black hoodie sweater, black jeans, dark shoes, and speaking in a husky tone

The driver is described as having a medium-skinned black man in his early to mid-30s, with a medium build and full beard. He was wearing knit cap and dark jacket.

No Valid Driver’s License

Efren Castillo-Martines, 36, of the 2200 block of W. Farwell Ave. in Chicago, was arrested in the 4500 block of West Lake Ave. at 3 p.m. Sept. 14 and charged with driving without a valid license and improper lane usage. He was released on $1,500 bond with an Oct. 21 court date.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Daniel C. Tigipko, 18, of the 1900 block of Tanglewood Dr. in Glenview, was arrested at his home at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 14 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after officers responded to his home for a disturbance. He was released on $1,000 bond with an Oct. 20 court date.

Animal Complaint

A resident reported their basset hound was attacked by a golden retriever while they were walking down the 3100 block of Maple Leaf Dr. at 8 p.m. Sept. 8 The golden retriever jumped on the back of the basset hound. The owner of the golden retriever took control of the dog and walked it home. No complaints to be signed.

Identity Theft

A resident reported that someone hacked into their computer and changed passwords to different email accounts, website accounts and to their bank account. The resident believes the hacker(s) gained access to their computer after they clicked on a pop-up message accusing them of pirating movies and telling them to pay them off through a web site. The residnet could not remember the name of the website. The resident was given an identity theft brochure and advised to contact the credit bureaus.

Criminal Damage to Property

Someone scratched a 2006 Lexus IS250 while it was parked in the lot at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Greenwood Rd. between 5 p.m. Sept. 4 and noon Sept. 6. The victim also found a nail stuck in one of the car’s tires causing it to go flat.
