The Glenview Police Department handled a number of criminal complaints over the past week involving a number of offenses and made an arrest.
GLENVIEW, IL — The Glenview Police Department handled a number of criminal complaints over the past week involving a number of offenses and made one arrest.
Local residents are reminded that criminal charges do not equate to a guilty finding and that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Computer Crime
A resident in the 1100 block of Normandy Lane reported that they received a wire transfer request on Nov. 9 to add additional funding to an existing account in Tennessee. The banks were able to freeze the money before funds could be withdrawn, police said.

Disorderly Conduct
A resident in the 1900 block of Linneman Street reported on Nov. 18 that their home was covered in toilet paper.
Drug Offense
An Evanston resident was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s License, no insurance, and unlawful use of Cannabis by a driver after a traffic stop on Nov. 18 at Golf Road and Washington Street. They were released on bond with a court date of Dec. 30.
Burglary
Officers responded to a business alarm at a business in the 1600 block of Waukegan Road on Nov 19. Upon arrival, officers saw the service entry door open and the alarm going off. It is believed the offenders stole a vehicle from inside the business, police said.
A business in the 1900 block of Lehigh Avenue reported between Nov. 18 and Nov. 19, unknown offenders entered the business through the overhead garage door and stole vehicle keys.
Theft
A resident in the 3800 block of Kiess Drive reported on Nov. 19 that between Nov. 18 and Nov. 19, an unknown offender stole the rear license plate from their vehicle.
Identity Theft
A resident in the 300 block of Spruce Street reported between Sept. 26 and Oct. 18, an unknown offender used their personal information to change their mailing address with the US Postal Service, and several banks.
Burglary from Motor Vehicle
A Streamwood resident reported sometime between Nov. 20 and Nov. 21, a person stole the catalytic converter from under their vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard.
A resident in the 2700 block of Commons Drive reported sometime between Nov. 19 and Nov. 21, someone stole the catalytic converter from under their vehicle while it sat parked in the parking lot in the 2700 block of Commons Drive.
Speeding
A Chicago resident was cited for Speeding (26-34 mph over the speed limit) and Expired Registration following a traffic stop in the 4700 block of West Lake Avenue on Nov. 21. They were released on bond with a court date set for the Skokie Courthouse on Dec. 30.
Suspended Driver’s License
A resident was cited for driving with a suspended license, Speeding (11-14 mph over the speed limit), failure to properly secure a child, and driving without a no seatbelt following a traffic stop in the 800 block of Milwaukee Avenue on Nov 21. They were released on bond with a court date set for the Skokie Courthouse on Dec. 30.
No Driver’s License
A Prospect Heights resident was cited for driving without a driver’s license following a traffic crash investigation at Pfingsten Road and Willow Road on Nov. 21. They were released on bond with a court date set for Skokie Courthouse on Dec. 15.
A Chicago resident was cited for driving without a driver’s license, without vehicle registration, and failing to wear a seatbelt following a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. On Nov. 21. They were released on bond with a court date set for the Skokie Courthouse on Dec. 16.
ARRESTS
Gankhuyang Gongor, 57, Northbrook, IL., was arrested on Nov. 14 and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license following a traffic crash investigation in the 10000 block of Dearlove Road. He was released on bond with a court date set at the Skokie Courthouse on Nov. 29.
