Cashier Accused of Stealing Nearly $12K from Employer
He was ringing up charges at a 100 percent discount and refunding the items to his debit card, police say.

Theft
John M. Sigel-Epstein, 23, of the 200 block of Franklin Rd. in Glencoe, was arrested in the 2700 of Pfingsten Rd. Sept. 4 and charged with felony theft. An investigation revealed that while he working as a cashier at retail store, Sigel-Epstein was ringing-up merchandise at a 100 percent discount and refunding the items into his debit card over the past few months. The estimated loss is $11,666. Bond was set at $20,000 and he was given a Sept. 18 court date set.

Driving on a Suspended License
Jeronimo Blancas-Resindiz, 43, of the 4200 block of Henderson in Chicago, was arrested in the 2700 block of Willow Rd. at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 3 and charged with driving on a suspended license, registration suspended for no insurance and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on a $3,000 bond with a Sept. 19 court date.

Maria Soto, 31, of the 4100 block of Williamsburg Ct. in Glenview, was arrested in the 600 block of Milwaukee Ave. at 7 p.m. Sept. 7 and charged with driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying a traffic control device. She was released on a $2,000 bond with an Oct. 24 court date.
