Jewelry Stolen from 2 Homes in Burglaries

A car was also stolen, but later found.

The following is from the Glenview Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Residential Burglary

Someone forced entry into a residence in the 300 block of Parkview Road through the rear door between 6:30 and 11:30 p.m. Sept. 5 and took $3,000 worth of jewelry from the master bedroom.

Residential Burglary

A burglary occurred at a residence in the 1200 block of Roosevelt Ave. between 11:15 a.m. and 12:21 p.m. Sept. 6. Someone broke out the plate glass window of a rear entry door, located on the north side of the home, and took approximately $3,000 worth of jewelry from the master bedroom.

Found Bike

Someone found a red Huffy Radio bicycle at the North Metra Train Station Sept. 8. It was placed in the temporary bicycle cage at the police station.

Found Animal

A young male pit bull was found running at large in the 200 block of Washington St. at 10 a.m. Sept. 8 The dog had no collar or tags. It was transported to Carriage Hill Kennels.

Burglary

Someone entered an unlocked garage in the 600 block of Echo Ln. between 11:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sept. 3 and took a 2007 Silver Fuji Absolute 21 speed bicycle worth $560.

Found Animal

A resident reported finding a Golden Retriever on Huber Lane at 4:45 p.m. Sept. 5. The dog was brought to the police department and placed in the department’s kennel. The next day, the dog was transported to Carriage Hill Kennels.

A resident found a male Akita running at large in the 1600 block pf Marie Lane at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 5. The dog was brought to the police department and placed in the department’s kennel. The next day, the dog was transported to Carriage Hill Kennels.

Motor Vehicle Theft

Someone took a dark blue 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier sedan worth $2,000 that was parked in the 4500 block of Concord Lane, between 4 and 8 p.m. Sept. 5. The car has two discernable marks: a rust spot under the gas cap and a large scrape along both passenger side doors. On Sept 8, car was found in a lot in the 800 block of Milwaukee Ave.

Criminal Damage

Someone damaged the left front quarter panel of a Silver 2014 Nissan Pathfinder while it was parked near the southeast corner of the upper parking deck at 2701 Aviator Drive. Damage consisted of a large dent and several foot long scratches in the quarter panel. Damage is estimated at $1,500.
