2 Dogs Rescued From House Fire In Grayslake
The Grayslake Fire Protection District responded to the blaze Saturday night in Grayslake.
GRAYSLAKE, IL — Firefighters rescued two dogs from a blaze in Grayslake late Saturday night.
The Grayslake Fire Protection District was called to the 33000 block of North Sears Boulevard at about 10:15 p.m. on Saturday for the reported fire, according to a news release from the fire protection district.
When fire crews arrived, they found a heavy fire in an attached garage, a portion of the home and inside a vehicle in the driveway, according to the news release. Firefighters were able to rescue two dogs that were inside the home.

"Both dogs were found on the main level of the home and were quickly brought outside away from danger," Ian Mandigo, battalion chief with the Grayslake Fire Protection District, told Patch. Neither of the dogs was injured, he said.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and no one was injured in the blaze. The home has been deemed uninhabitable, Mandigo said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
