Lake County Men Killed In Boone County Plane Crash Identified
A Grayslake man and Beach Park man are among those dead following the plane crash into a corn field near Capron on June 28.
BOONE COUNTY, IL —A 60-year-old Grayslake man and a 74-year-old Beach Park man killed in a plane crash in Boone County last weekend have been identified.
Scott Wenz, 60, and Kenneth Serzynski, 74, died from injuries sustained when the plane went down in a cornfield on June 28 at about 6:30 p.m. in the area of Capron and Blaine roads near Capron, according to media reports.
The National Transportation Safety Board, Federal Aviation Administration and Boone County Sheriff's Office is investigating the collision of the VANS RV10 airplane.
