4 Injured After Jet Skis Collide On Gages Lake
The collision happened Sunday afternoon on Gages Lake.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — Four people were injured when two personal watercrafts collided on Gages Lake on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The collision happened at about noon when a personal watercraft driven by a 21-year-old Indiana man pulled in front of a personal watercraft driven by his friend, a 22-year-old Indiana man, according to the news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office. The "no-wake mode" activated on the younger man's watercraft, which caused it to rapidly slow down.
The other watercraft was not able to slow down fast enough and collided with the other watercraft, police said.
