Body Of Local Woman Found In Fox Lake Channel: Report

FOX LAKE, IL — Authorities have identified a woman whose body was found Tuesday afternoon in a channel in Fox Lake. According to Fox Lake Police Chief Jimmy Lee, 50-year-old Cheryl Skinner, from Fox Lake, was found in the water near her home by fishermen, Shaw Media reported. Skinner lived with family in the 700 block of Kingston Drive, according to the news report.

Her death is being investigated, but Lee said the channel's water was deep enough that Skinner could have drowned.
