Acker was confronted by management and they found women’s jewelry on his person.

The jewelry was worth almost $3,000 and Acker admitted to taking it out of the packages without permission.

He has since been fired from his position at FedEx.

Prosecutors and Acker’s public defender noted during a bond hearing that Acker has a limited criminal background.

Lake County Judge Paul Novak allowed Acker to be released from custody on a personal recognizance bond.

Acker is scheduled to appear in court again on May 24 for status of preliminary hearing.
