Court Documents Detail Rittenhouse Charges

Kyle Rittenhouse faces a first-degree intentional homicide charge in Kenosha County, Wisconsin.

KENOSHA COUNTY, WISCONSIN — A 17-year-old Antioch boy has been charged in Wisconsin with first-degree intentional homicide in connection with fatal shootings Tuesday in Kenosha. Kyle Rittenhouse had a initial court hearing Friday in Lake County and will now remain in custody in Illinois for at least another month as he awaits future hearings regarding his extradition.

On Thursday, a criminal complaint filed in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, detailed evidence gathered by investigators into Tuesday night's shooting amid protests following the police-involved shooting of Jacob Blake.

Rittenhouse was arrested Wednesday in Antioch, where he lives, and faces charges in Wisconsin on allegations he fatally shot Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Anthony Huber, 26, of Silver Lake, Wisconsin, and wounded Gaige Grosskreutz, 26, of West Allis, Wisconsin.
