Driver Cited After Car Slams Into School Bus: Authorities
The collision happened last week in Round Lake Heights.
ROUND LAKE HEIGHTS, IL — A driver has been cited after his car crashed into a school bus last week in Round Lake Heights.
Police say the driver of the Ford has been cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash after he was driving at a "not reasonable" speed before the Ford slammed into the back of a stopped school bus at about 7 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Rollins Road and Fairfield Road in Round Lake Heights, according to the Lake & McHenry County Scanner.
None of the 17 students on board the Round Lake Area Schools District bus were injured, according to the media report.
