Electronics Recycling Event for Earth Day

POSRG of Wauconda Welcomes Your E-Waste

Did you know electronics are the planet’s fastest growing waste stream? Gather your tech devices for a good cause! In celebration of Earth Day 2023, POSRG encourages both businesses and residents to drop off devices that are no longer needed for proper and secure disposal.

What can you bring? Computers, laptops, keyboards, speakers, microphones, phones/cell phones, tablets, batteries, security equipment, video or audio equipment, gaming consoles/devices, GPS units, stereo equipment, wiring and cabling, ink, toner and cartridges.

Collection Date and Location: Friday, April 21, 4-6 p.m. (rain or shine) at Wauconda Park District at 600 N. Main Street, Wauconda, IL.

Please do not bring: Smoke detectors; carbon monoxide detectors; dehumidifiers; devices containing liquid mercury (thermostats, switches, medical devices, thermometers); gas-powered equipment; household hazardous waste; PCB ballasts; propane tanks; radioactive material; refrigerators/freezers; A/C units; paint and chemicals.
