  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

On Thursday afternoon, Grayslake Fire posted a statement on Facebook, detailing comments from people that include the term "over reaction" regarding the cancellation of large gatherings and the massive amount of attention coronavirus is bringing about "because the majority of Coronavirus patients experience mild symptoms and recover." Grayslake Fire said the reaction being taken is not an over reaction, but is being done to "educate, minimize and contain the virus."
