Grayslake Man, 27, Killed In Crash Near Gurnee
The collision happened on Saturday on Route 45 north of Dada Drive in unincorporated Gurnee.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 27-year-old Grayslake man was killed in a motorcycle collision over the weekend.
The crash happened at about 6:20 a.m. Saturday on Route 45 north of Dada Drive in unincorporated Gurnee when a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle was headed north on Route 45 and before going into the southbound lane of traffic and hitting a southbound 2005 Nissan Rogue.
A witness to the collision told police the driver was traveling at high rate of speed before losing control on wet pavement. He regained control but then crashed while failing to negotiate curve in the road, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

The motorcyclist, a 27-year-old Grayslake man, was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Nissan Rogue, a 69-year-old Lake Villa man, was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
