Grayslake Shred Day and Recycling Fair

Lake County Senator Melinda Bush hosts the free event.

Lake County Senator Melinda Bush is hosting a shred day and recycling fair on Saturday, September 24 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Hunt Club Park, Community Center, 920 Hunt Club Road, Gurnee.

The event is free and open to the public. The shredding will be accepted until trucks reach capacity. The public cannot leave cardboard boxes behind at the venue as shred truck vendors will not accept them. Electronics and household chemical waste will not be accepted

Items to be collected include: paper (limit of 2 bankers boxes for residential shredding and no business shredding accepted), eyeglasses and hearing aids, cell phones, children's books (birth to 6th grade), clothing, textiles, and shoes in pairs.
