Gunshots Reported At Gurnee House Party, Shell Casings Found: PD

Police said a gunshot victim showed up at a local hospital but investigators are uncertain whether the two incidents are connected.

GURNEE, IL β€” Gurnee Police are continuing to investigate reports of shots being fired at a house party in Gurnee early Monday morning after multiple people called saying they had heard gunfire, police said.

Officers arrived at the residence in the 1500 block of Acorn Court at 1:40 a.m. after several nearby residents called the police after hearing gunfire. Although there were no injuries reported, several shell casings were found outside the residence, police said.

Police said that several people were attending a house party at that location when shots were fired. At 3:40 a.m., a gunshot victim arrived at Vista Medical Center East, police said. However, investigators said that they are not sure whether the two incidents are connected.

Investigators are unsure what led to the shots being fired at the residence, police said. Police said on Monday that they will release more information as it becomes available.
