Lake County Sheriff's Office Collects Coats for Veterans

Lake County Sheriff's Office and the Veteran's Assistance Commission are collecting coats for veterans through November 30.

LAKE COUNTY, IL - The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Veteran’s Assistance Commission, local law enforcement agencies and schools to collect coats and outerwear for Veterans and their families. The collection period ends on Wednesday, November 30.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office encourages the public to bring gently used coats, gloves, hats, socks and scarves to one of the following locations:

  • Lake County, IL Government, 18 N County Street, Waukegan
  • Lake County Sheriff’s Office, 25 S Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Waukegan
  • Lake County Sheriff’s Office, 1301 N Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville (entrance off Winchester Road)

Donated items will be delivered to the Midwest Veterans Closet located at 2323 Green Bay Road in North Chicago, IL.
