Man Sells Ecstasy Pills To Undercover Officers: Authorities
The 27-year-old Cicero man is accused of selling the pills to officers at locations in Grayslake and Deerfield in recent weeks.
A 27-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly sold ecstasy pills to undercover officers on multiple occasions in Lake County, prosecutors said.
Raul A. Medina, 27, of Cicero, was charged with manufacturing or delivering of ecstasy, possession of ecstasy and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Court records show the Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group arrested Medina on January 13.
Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney Timothy Niehus said an officer working in an undercover capacity set up a December 30 meeting over Snapchat.

The meeting was for the officer to purchase MDMA pills from Medina at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Grayslake. They met up and the officer purchased MDMA tablets, Niehus said during a bond hearing. The tablets field tested positive.
A second meeting was set up on January 13 with Medina and the undercover officer.
Niehus said the officer purchased 30 MDMA pills from Medina for $250.
The buy took place at the Hyatt Regency in Deerfield and officers took him into custody at the location.
The most serious charge against Medina is a Class X felony, which carries a prison sentence of six to 30 years.
Lake County Judge Patricia Cornell ordered Medina held on a $50,000 bond.
Medina was released from the Lake County Jail after posting $5,000 cash.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 9.
