Men In 'Face Masks And Gloves' Robbed Women In Home: Sheriff

WAUKEGAN, IL β€” Two women told police they were robbed in their home by four men wearing face masks and gloves Monday evening, according to a report from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a call of a home invasion at about 5:15 p.m. Monday in the 35600 block of North Green Bay Road. When they arrived, authorities found the two women uninjured.

Police said their preliminary investigation revealed the four robbers came into the residence and demanded money. One of the men took a kitchen knife and used it to force money from one of the women. The men then got into a vehicle and drove away, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crime or has surveillance footage from the area to come forward to aid in the investigation. No one was in custody as of Monday afternoon.
