New Pie Shop Opens In Grayslake

GRAYSLAKE, IL — Just in time for the holiday season, a new family-owned pie shop and bakery has opened in Grayslake.

Bake Share just opened on Dec. 2 and is now hustling to keep up with holiday orders. As of Thursday, the business was not able to take anymore pre-orders for the holidays.

"We hope you got your orders in because our ovens are at capacity. You can always stop by the bakery and see what we have on hand but we can’t take any more preorders," according to a post on the Bake Share Facebook page. "Thank you so much for your support."

Located at 827 Center Street in Grayslake, popular pies on the new business's menu include: Michaelberry pie, which is named after founder of Bake Share, pie maker Michael; Home Run Apple; and Candy Cane Pie.

The bakery also has cookies — the orange drop cookies have been a hit — and breads for sale. You can also purchase "pielets," which are 5-inch, smaller versions of the business's 9-inch pies.
