Police Training Exercise Leads To College Lockdown
Authorities learned that a report of a man with a gun in Grayslake was related to a law enforcement K9 training exercise.
GRAYSLAKE, IL — The College of Lake County in Grayslake was briefly placed on lockdown Wednesday morning after police received a report of a man with a gun in the area of Route 45 and Center Street.
Police quickly learned the report, which came in at about 9:45 a.m., was not an actual threat.
Authorities say a law enforcement K9 training exercise taking place in the area of the old Lake County Fairgrounds site lead to the report.
