December 1st marked an unforgettable day for the community as over 400 decorated Jeeps gathered at Ray Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Fox Lake for the 12th Annual Jeeps on the Run Toys for Tots event. The convoy, an amazing display of holiday spirit and community generosity, made its way to the Marriott Lincolnshire, culminating in a celebration of giving.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of participants and Jeep owners, the event collected nearly 11,000 toys, which will be distributed to children in need across Lake and McHenry counties. The event’s impact extended far beyond the toy donations, underscoring the community’s dedication to making the holidays brighter for thousands of local children.
One of the day’s highlights was the giveaway of a brand-new 2024 Jeep Wrangler to one lucky supporter. Kalli, a Wisconsin resident who has been a loyal supporter of Jeeps on the Run for almost a decade, was announced as the winner. Although she could not attend the event in person, her dedication to the cause exemplifies the spirit of the day, and her excitement was off the charts!

“To think of the impact this one-day event has on so many local children is nothing short of amazing,” said Mike Missak, the founder of JOTR. He also praised the Scarpelli family and the Ray Auto Group for their continued generosity. Their donation of the Jeep Wrangler and ongoing support have been instrumental in the event’s success. They have donated over $250,000 in support to Jeeps On The Run.
This year, the Jeeps on the Run organization was able to donate $65,000 to the Toys for Tots programs in Lake and McHenry counties, ensuring that countless children will wake up to a brighter holiday season.
Missak added, “We’re so grateful to everyone who made this day possible. From the Jeep owners who decorated their vehicles to the volunteers and donors who gave so generously, it’s a testament to the power of community spirit.”
The Ray Auto Group of Fox Lake is proud to sponsor this great event as well as be active in supporting the community in many other ways with food drives, blood drives, parades, school donations, and more. They thank their customers who support the business – making this all able to happen.
Mark your calendars for next year’s event on December 7, 2025. With each passing year, Jeeps on the Run continues to grow, spreading joy and hope to families in need. Together, we can make an even greater impact next year.
