Save The Date: Grayslake SummerFest
Formerly known as Summer Days, this year's SummerFest will span over two evenings in August.
GRAYSLAKE, IL — As we start to finally feel a hint of warmer temperatures — and with summer right around the corner — preparations are well underway for many popular festivals throughout the Chicago suburbs.
In Grayslake, SummerFest — formerly known as Summer Days —draws crowds every year to downtown Grayslake. Here's what we know so far about this year's festival:
- This year, the festival will include two evenings of fun, live music, food trucks, drinks BINGO and more. There will also be a new pop-up area for photo ops, lounging and socializing.
- The festival will be held on Aug. 16 and 17

Friday, August 16
- 5 p.m.: Festival Opens. DJ Set by Dave Woll of the Discovering Grayslake Podcast.
- 6 p.m.: Girl Power Music Video Dance Party with DJ Kayleigh Chaos
- 7 p.m.: Battle of the Band Winner from Grayslake Summer Nights - Steady Ahead
- 8 p.m.: Trippin’ Bilies - A Tribute to Dave Matthews Band
Saturday, August 17

- 4:30 p.m.: Parade (Lake Street & Center Street)
- 5 p.m.: Otherwise Normal
- 6 p.m.: School of Rock Libertyville
- 7 p.m.: Burning Red - A Tribute to Taylor Swift
- 9 p.m.: Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute
There will be no carnival rides or outdoor drinks or food allowed at this festival, which is organized by the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce.
