This Suburb Has Been Ranked As The Best Place To Live In Lake County

VERNON HILLS, IL — Lake County has several amazing towns to call home. But in this year's "Best Places to Live" rankings from Niche, one stood out.

Vernon Hills has been ranked as the best place to live in Lake County, according to the most recent rankings. And it has been picked as the fourth best place to live in the Chicago area.

Vernon Hills, which has a population just over 27,000, received A+ rankings for its schools, health and fitness options and being a great place to live for families.

In Kendall County, Oswego earned the title of "No. 1 Best Places to Live" from Niche. In Vernon Hills, 66% of residents own their own homes, and the median home value is $384,400.
