Teen In Custody; Woman, 19, Injured In Round Lake Beach Shooting: Police
The shooting happened Tuesday night in the 900 block of Clarendon Drive in Round Lake Beach, authorities said.
ROUND LAKE BEACH, IL — A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a shooting Tuesday night that left a 19-year-old woman with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Police said the woman told police she was shot while inside a parked car in the 900 block of Clarendon Drive by the 17-year-old boy, who is an acquaintance of the woman, at about 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Daily Herald.
Police tracked down the teen, who was taken into custody and is being held at a juvenile detention center on charges of aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated battery great bodily harm, according to the article.
