ANTIOCH IL — Without community leaders, Antioch area wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

This submission comes from Betsy Grindol, a Antioch area reader who nominated Regina Reynolds.

What does this community leader do?

Regina is the President of PM&L Theatre in Antioch IL, a non-profit, community theatre. The theatre has been around since 1962. Regina is running the theatre with the board of directors, letting people know we are here! Regina is also very active in the Rotary as well as a community garden. She is a retired school teacher.

Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?

Regina does so much for the community, especially PM&L. She is helping diversify our little corner of Antioch. Our theatre is a community theatre, meaning we are run by people from the area and community members are welcomed and encouraged to perform in the shows. Regina has created a committee for DEI called Climate and Culture to make sure we do everything we can to help make everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. I know she is also very involved in Rotary and the community garden as well.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?

Regina is a very kind and caring leader!
