Third And Final Man Arrested In 21-Year-Old's Murder, Police Say
Police arrested a third man in connection with the murder of Elliot Jones, who was robbed and shot in May of 2020, officials said.

GURNEE, IL β A third man has been arrested and charged in connection with the May 2020 murder of Elliot Jones, the Lake County Sheriff's office announced Thursday.
Jones, 21, was robbed and shot on May 29, according to police in unincorporated Lake County. Dalance Montrell Robinson, 21, was taken into custody on accusations of shooting Jones, months after Jordae Wilson and Donterrance M. Nixon's arrests.
According to the Lake County State's Attorney's office, Wilson and Donterrance offered to sell marijuana to Jones on the 36900 block of North Grandwood Drive. Jones gave the men money for the marijuana but they, along with Robinson, began to drive away without giving him anything. Jim Newton of the Lake County state's attorney's office said Robinson shot Jones when the man tried to grab onto the departing car.
