HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Highland Park Police Department.

THEFT

  • Theft - Sept. 22 at 10:22 p.m.
    • A customer at the Jewel Osco located at 1600 Deerfield Road told police they left their wallet at the Western Union inside the grocery store. Later on, they noticed there were fraudulent charges on their credit card.
  • Theft - Sept. 23 at 2:14 p.m.
    • Police received a report of a theft at the Target at 2099 Skokie Valley Road. According to the reporting party, a woman left the store with $131 worth of merchandise without paying.
  • Theft - Sept. 24 at 7:25 p.m.
    • Police received a report of a theft at the Target at 2099 Skokie Valley Road. According to the reporting party, a man and woman left the store with $124 worth of merchandise without paying.

  • Attempt - Sept. 25 at 8:28 p.m.
    • A resident reported that their unlocked car was broken into in the 400 block of Pleasant Avenue. Nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempt - Sept. 25 at 12:29 p.m.
    • A resident reported that their unlocked car was broken into in the 500 block of Broadview Avenue. Nothing was reported missing.
  • Attempt - Sept. 26 at 2:18 p.m.
    • A resident reported that their unlocked car was broken into at 10 Park Avenue. According to the car's owner, the car was parked at the loading dock when a woman entered the vehicle. Nothing was reported missing.
  • Vehicle - Sept. 27 at 1:24 p.m.
    • A resident reported that their unlocked car was broken into in the 500 block of Broadview Avenue. It appeared that a suspect went inside the car between Sept. 24 and 27. Nothing was reported missing.

TRESPASSING

  • Garage - Sept. 25 at 7:42 p.m.
    • A resident living in the 600 block of Central Avenue told police a man, who had a prior no trespass notice, was seen in their building's parking garage.
  • Residence - Sept. 26 and 27 around 4 p.m.
    • A resident living in the 1200 block of Arbor Avenue told police a person broke into their backyard on two different occasions to steal fruit from their tree.
