Burglars Take Jewelry, Computer From Highland Park Home

Burglary
Police are investigating a report of a residential burglary. It was reported that between 2 p.m. and 3:20 p.m. Saturday, unknown subject(s) entered a residence in the 900 block of St. Johns Avenue through an unsecured rear door and took a Samsung laptop computer, 2 diamond rings in white gold settings and a pair of blue crystal earrings set in silver, according to Highland Park Police reports.

Driver’s License Infractions and More
James Keating, 30, of Avenue, Chicago was arrested Dec. 24 and charged with driving while license suspended after being stopped by police near the intersection of Central Avenue and Green Bay Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Feb. 5 in Park City.

Theft
Police are investigating a report of a theft. It was reported that a Honda Element was parked in the 100 block of Skokie Valley Road at approximately 9:40 a.m. Dec. 23. Upon returning to the vehicle at 12:34 p.m., it was discovered the catalytic converter had been stolen (cut off) by unknown person(s), according to Highland Park Police reports.
