Cash, Credit Cards, Sunglasses and More Stolen in String of Car Break-ins
Six cars were burglarized last week.

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
Credit cards stolen from car
Someone stole three credit cards from a wallet that was left on the front seat of a car parked in a garage in the 300 block of Beech Street. The garage door was accidentally left open overnight Aug. 27.

Car scratched
Someone used a sharp object to scratch the length of the driver’s side of a 2012 Black Acura MDX that was parked in a parking lot at 1830 Green Bay Road Aug. 24 at 3 p.m.

Car burglarized
Someone entered an unlocked 2008 Nissan Altima overnight Aug. 28 while it was parked in the 300 block of Temple Avenue. Several items were taken, including black aviator Carrera sunglasses, an aluminum Mag flashlight, yellow earbuds and a black cell phone holder.
Change purse, headphones stolen from car
Two younger looking males were seen looking through a green Subaru that was parked unlocked in the 300 block of Bloom Street at 2:30 a.m. Aug. 30. A red leather change purse and headphones were taken.
Change stolen from car
Someone entered an unlocked truck parked in the 300 block of Temple Avenue between 5:30 p.m. Aug. 28 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 29, and took about $15 in change.
Checkbook stolen from car
Someone entered an unlocked Honda Accord that was parked in a driveway in the 2700 block of Fort Sheridan Avenue between 7 p.m. Aug. 29 and 6 a.m. Aug. 30 and stole a checkbook from the center console.
Cash stolen from car
Someone entered an unlocked Audi and a Toyota van that were parked in the 2600 block of Roslyn Circle overnight Aug. 29 and took $80-$100 in cash from the Audi.
