Gas Station Ransacked, Boxes Of Cigarettes Stolen: Highland Park Crime Blotter

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The following is the most recent crime blotter from the Highland Park Police Department.
BURGLARY
- Vehicle - Oct. 8 at 5:03 p.m.
- A resident called police after watching an unknown woman go inside her unlocked car and go through her center console in the 700 block of Pleasant Avenue. The woman ran off without incident, and it didn't appear that anything was stolen, police said.
- Business - Oct. 9 at 4:30 a.m.
- Police responded to a burglary alarm at a Shell gas Station at 2135 Green Bay Road. At the gas station, police found the front door was shattered and the business was ransacked. It appeared several boxes of e-cigarettes and other cigarette products were taken.
THEFT

- Retail - Oct. 10 at 1:08 p.m.
- Police responded to a reported theft at Walgreens on 655 Elm Place. The reporting party said two men and a woman took items from inside without paying.
- Retail - Sept. 27 at 9:37.m.
- Police responded to a reported theft at Jewel-Osco at 1600 Deerfield Road. The reporting party said a man took about $571 worth of items from inside without paying on Sept. 30.
