Highland Park High School Teacher is Golden Apple Finalist
The Golden Apple Foundation has announced the names of 32 Chicagoland area teachers who are finalists for the prestigious award, including Highland Park High School language teacher Weifang Wang.

Weifang Wang, who teaches Chinese at Highland Park High School, is one of four Lake County teachers to be named a finalist for the 2013 Golden Apple Awards for Excellence in Teaching.
Wang is joined as a finalist by fellow District 113 teacher Eugene Chung, who teaches chemistry at Deerfield High School.
Since 1986, Golden Apple has recognized outstanding teachers throughout Illinois each year. This year, 32 Chicagoland educators have been named finalists. Those finalists will participate in a final round of review and observations prior to the announcement of the ten recipients in May.
