Highland Park Police Blotter: Suspended License, Stolen Car, Theft

The latest arrest and incident reports from the Highland Park Police Department.

Driving with a Suspended License

Eduardo Martinez-Leon, 19, of the 300 block of Temple Avenue, Highland Park, was arrested at 2:22 a.m. on Jan. 16 and charged with driving with a suspended drivers license and speeding after police conducted a traffic stop in the 0-100 block of the Edens Expressway. Martinez-Leon was released on a personal recognizance bond with a court date of March 9, in Park City.

Criminal Damage

At 1:36 p.m. on Jan. 12, graffiti to a business in the 800 block of Central Ave was reported. The unknown suspect(s) committed the reported damage between 1:05 a.m. and 1:07 a.m.

Stolen Vehicle

At 1:35 p.m. on Jan 15,it was reported that a vehicle was stolen by unknown suspect(s) sometime between Dec. 31, 2015, and Jan. 15, 2016, from a business in the 1300 block of Park Avenue West.

Theft

At 11:42 a.m. on Jan. 18, it was reported that an American flag was stolen from a residence in the 0-100 block of Leonard Wood North by unknown suspect(s) between Jan. 15 and Jan. 17.

At 6:02 p.m. on Jan. 16, it was reported that an American flag was stolen from a residence in the 0-100 block of Macarthur Loop by unknown suspect(s) between 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 15 and 6 p.m. on Jan. 16.

At 8:50 a.m. on Jan. 14, it was reported that two license plates were stolen sometime in December by unknown suspect(s) from a business in the 1300 block of Park Avenue West.

At 6:51 p.m. on Jan. 13, it was reported that on Oct. 29, an individual accepted money for a product from the complainant and then never delivered the purchased product to the complainant or returned the complainant’s money.
