Highland Park Police Make 5 DUI Arrests Last Week
In one case, the driver was involved in an accident, police say.

The following information is from the Highland Park Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
Marco Saldana, 21, of the 300 block of Temple Avenue in Highland Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and speeding after being stopped by police in the 2500 block of Skokie Valley Road at 1:30 a.m. Sept. 1. Saldana was released on a cash bond with an Oct. 3 court date.
Rigoberto Rios, 32, of the 8900 block of S. Pond View Drive in Oak Creek, WI, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and disobeying a traffic control device after being stopped by police in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 1. He was released on a personal recognizance bond with a Sept. 26 court date.

Maria Caref, 43, of the 2200 block of W. Thome Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper backing and uninsured motor vehicle after being stopped by police in the 1900 block of Skokie Valley Road at 3:30 a.m. Sept. 1. Caref was released on a personal recognizance bond with a Sept. 26 court date.
Eulalio Perez, 30, of the 200 block of Jeffreys Place in Highwood, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage, failure to signal and following too close after being stopped by police in the 300 block of the Edens Expressway at 12:15 a.m. Sept. 5. Perez was released on a personal recognizance bond with an Oct. 24 court date.

Mark Guttman, 24, of the 700 block of Indian Hill Road in Deerfield, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and possession of cannabis after police responded to a two-car accident in the 1500 block of Skokie Valley Road at 8:15 p.m. Sept. 6. Guttman was released on a personal recognizance bond with an Oct. 10 court date.
