Riverwoods Obituary: Roger Erickson, 73
Roger Erickson, who enjoyed fishing and boating on Cedar Lake, spent 40 years as a hairdresser and barber at Mane Cutters in Highland Park.

It is with great sadness that the family of Roger Erickson announces his passing on September 18th, 2023 at the age of 73 in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he lived with his sister and brother in law for the past 4 months.
Roger was born on June 5, 1950 to Ray and Adele Erickson in Deerfield/Riverwoods Illinois. He is survived by his sister, Marcia Sparks and his brother in law Rick Sparks. He will be missed by his nephews Isaac Sparks, Dustin Sparks and his niece Jessica Erickson.
Roger is preceded in death by his brother John Erickson. He grew up in a house his parents built in Riverwoods, Illinois and attended Adlai E. Stevenson High School.

Roger was a hairdresser/barber in Highland Park at Mane Cutters for 45 years and loved cutting hair and his customers, they were like family to him. He was a flirt and his favorite movie was “Shampoo” with Warren Beatty, Goldie Hawn and Julie Christie.
His interests were cars, he loved his muscle car a 71’ Buick Skylark which he drove most days to work. He also enjoyed fishing and boating on Cedar Lake, Illinois.
