Stabbing Victim Taken To Hospital After Running Into Highwood Bar

Police and fire crews were called to Teddy O'Brian's on Sheridan Road after a man who had been stabbed ran into the bar for help.

A man was transported to the hospital in unknown condition after he was stabbed and retreated into a bar in Highwood for help last week.

The Highland Park Fire Department and Highwood Police Department responded around 12:10 a.m. Thursday to Teddy O’Brian’s, 432 Sheridan Road in Highwood.

Dispatchers received a call for a stabbing victim at the business.

It was reported that a man had been stabbed in his abdomen and ran to the bar for help, according to emergency radio traffic.

Police arrived on the scene and confirmed the scene was secure.

Paramedics arrived and transported the victim by ambulance to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

His condition was unknown but he was believed to have survived.

Lake and McHenry County Scanner made multiple attempts to reach Highwood Police Chief Dave Wentz for further information on the case but those requests went unanswered.

It was unknown where the stabbing occurred or if any suspects were arrested.

Lake County Jail records show that no suspects have been booked into the jail yet in connection with the incident.
