Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Possession of Cannabis

Jesse Garcia-Abarca, 18, of Highwood was arrested Dec. 10 and charged with possession of cannabis, uninsured motor vehicle and no valid drivers license after being stopped by police near Sunset Road and Princeton Avenue, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Jan. 22 in Park City.

Criminal Damage to Property

Police are investigating a criminal damage to property. Police responded to an activated burglar alarm Dec. 9. Upon arrival officers found a window in a northwest bay broken out. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports.

Jamie Ranger, 30, of Evanston was arrested Friday and charged with driving while license suspended and speeding after being stopped by police in the 1300 block of Park Avenue West,  according to Highland Park Police reports. Ranger was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Jan. 8 in Park City.
