2 Bonsai Classes Saturday at Hinsdale's Vern Goers Greenhouse
See what's going on this weekend in the Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills area.
Vern Goers Greenhouse in Hinsdale is hosting a pair of Bonsai-related events Saturday at its 5620 S. Oak St. location.
First is a free Art Of Bonsai class at 10 a.m.
"This free class will cover Bonsai care, how to prep your plants for the winter and more," the event's Patch listing reads. "Dan Kosta, our on-staff expert, will be leading this class."
It gets a little more intense in the afternoon.
At 1:30 p.m., Vern Goers' Bonsai Potting & Styling Workshop takes place.
Kosta will also lead this two-hour workshop that will include one-on-one instruction.
"Each participant will create a Boxwood Bonsai to take home with them," the event listing reads. "We will supply the trees and the tools, but participants are welcome to bring any of their own tools to use."
