Porch piracy

  • Packages were stolen about 12:30 p.m. Thursday from a front porch in the 300 block of Glendale Avenue. The case is pending. Recently, Hinsdale police arrested a man on charges of stealing packages from porches on several streets.

  • Someone dented a car Sunday while it was in front of a resident's house in the 600 block of The Lane. The resident said she knew the suspect.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 200 block of West Hickory Street told police Thursday that someone used the resident's credit card to make fraudulent purchases. The case is pending.
