CLARENDON HILLS, IL – A Clarendon Hills panel plans to look this week at the plan for a three-story downtown building.

Called Parkside Place, the building at 104 Walker Ave. is set to include 15 condos, with half of the second floor occupied by a 12-room "boutique" hotel. On the first floor would be retail facing Park Avenue.

Patch wrote about the property earlier this month.

In April 2024, the Village Board voted to buy the Walker Avenue property for $1.4 million. Earlier this month, the board sold it for $1.8 million to Willowbrook-based Redwood Construction.

The owner is seeking rezoning to allow for what is known as a "mixed-use" development.

The Plan Commission is scheduled to discuss the proposal at its meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Village Hall.

Also at the meeting, the commission plans to consider the final plan for the Oaks of Clarendon Hills subdivision at 5740 Concord Lane, which is in the southeast part of the village.

The proposal by WK Builders is being described as a condo complex.

A condo building is already at 5740 Concord Lane, but the proposal in question involves vacant land to the west on 58th Street.

The area is largely made up of multifamily buildings, with some single-family housing.

The commission also plans to review the building of a house at 153 Norfolk Ave. Collins Sarsfield Construction is the contract purchaser of the site, which is part of the Community Presbyterian Church of Clarendon Hills' property, according to village documents.

The agenda packet for the meeting is online.
