Alleged Assault in Hinsdale Didn't Happen: Police

Chief Kevin Simpson said there is no reason to be concerned about a threat to the community.

Hinsdale, IL - A Hinsdale police investigation into the alleged assault of a juvenile girl April 4 determined "the incident did not occur as previously reported."

Bradley Bloom, director of public safety, said the incident didn't happen at all, and there was no assault.

"We have determined with 100 percent confidence that an incident did not occur," Bloom said. "An assault did not occur at any time. We want to reassure people that it is a safe community, and they don't have to be concerned that there's someone roaming streets preying on the community."
