Another Hinsdale Homeowner Seeks Landmark Status

Patch takes a look at local happenings Tuesday in and around Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills.

A quick look at what's happening in and around Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills today:

The Village of Hinsdale Historic Preservation Commission meets at Memorial Hall Tuesday night at 5 p.m., and on its agenda is the scheduling of a public hearing for a Hinsdale couple who wants their 820 N. Washington St. home designated as a local landmark.
The home, according to preservation commission agenda documents, was built by Harold Zook in 1949. It was one of the last Zook-designed homes built, as he died that same year.
Tuesday's agenda also includes an update on the landmark designations for three other Hinsdale homes that are set to move forward, while also containing an item setting a public hearing for another homeowner who wants their home's landmark designation withdrawn.
