Battery Arrest At Hinsdale Nursing Home: Cops

In another case, a house in a local neighborhood was burglarized, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Battery

  • A 48-year-old Melrose Park woman was arrested about 12:30 p.m. Feb. 26 on a battery charge. The woman made contact of an "insulting or provoking nature" with a victim at The Pearl of Hinsdale nursing home, police said. The woman was released and given a date to appear in court.

Burglary

  • A house in the 400 block of West Ninth Street was burglarized at some point in the week before Sunday. The suspect forced entry through the front door and rummaged through the house. The resident was not home during the burglary's timeframe.

Dump truck theft

  • A dump truck was stolen about 3 a.m. Monday at a construction site in the 600 block of North Vine Street. The theft was caught on surveillance video.

  • A car's window was smashed between 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. Feb. 27 in the 400 block of South Bodin Street. The car was parked in the street.
