Billionaire To Visit Hinsdale For Shop's Opening
A "high-end" sports memorabilia and card shop is being launched in town.
HINSDALE, IL – A billionaire plans to visit Hinsdale on Friday to celebrate the opening of a "high-end" sports card and memorabilia shop, the business announced early Friday morning.
Michael Rubin is the founder of Fanatics, a digital sports platform.
The new shop, Break Point, is at 100 Chestnut St., where Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy used to be.

According to a news release, Hinsdale resident Marco Piemonte is launching Break Point, the first store of its kind in the western suburbs. He is a partner in the Piemonte Auto Group.
Affiliated with Fanatics, Break Point said it would feature licensed products from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, WWE and UFC, among others.

The news release said Hinsdale Village President Greg Hart plans to attend the ceremony.
"The opening of Break Point is another great example of how Hinsdale is becoming a destination for the next generation — not just for families, but for sports fans, collectors and those who shape today's culture across the Chicago suburbs," Hart said in the news release.
The opening celebration is set for 5 p.m. Friday.
