Box with Contents Worth $3,500 Missing

Residents report this and other thefts.

Theft—A male victim reported that reported that a UPS package that had delivery confirmation to his home on the 400 block of west 58th Place was stolen. Cost of missing package totals approximately $3,500. The theft occurred on Feb. 26, but was reported on April 7.

Theft—A theft that occurred on the 100 block of Hillcrest between Jan. 23 and March 12 was reported April 5. A female victim said that a possible known subject removed various clothing items from her home. Cost of missing clothing items totals approximately $955.

Identity theft—At noon, March 23, a male resident on the 800 block of west 7th Street reported that his Citibank credit card was used to change personal contact information on the account and make a purchase. Total loss was reported to be $925.52.

Theft—A male victim reported that $100 in cash was taken sometime between 12-1 p.m. April 11 from his locker at the Hinsdale Rehabilitation Center, 222 E. Ogden Ave.

Driving under the influence, alcohol—Jessica A. Hartford, 27, 438 Mallview Lane, Bolingbrook, was stopped for speeding at 5:11 a.m. April 9 on the 5500 bock of south Madison Street and charged with  DUI, DUI +.08 and speeding. Police said she failed field sobriety tests and refused to submit to a breath test. She was charged, ticketed and released to appear in court.

Telephone harrassment—A woman reported that between between 9:52-10:30 p.m. April 5 she was a victim of telephone harassment when she received harassing text messages from someone she knows.
