Burglary Charge for Best Buy Kiosk Heist at Hinsdale Oasis

A Chicago man is accused of stealing more than $4,000 in items from the kiosk.

A man accused of raiding a Best Buy kiosk at the Hinsdale Oasis on the Tri-State Tollway has been charged with felony burglary.

Bail was set at $250,000 for Daquan Barfield, 21, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.

Barfield, of Chicago, is accused of stealing $4,731 worth of items from the kiosk Oct. 24 and damaging the machine, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Security footage shows a man with a U-Haul committing the burglary, the Tribune reports, and Barfield was seen wearing the same clothes as the burglar when he rented a U-Haul on Oct. 23 using his driver’s license.

His next court date is scheduled for Jan. 15 in Bridgeview, according to the sheriff’s office.
