"We want to build on this strong foundation and make Hinsdale the best place in America to live, raise a family, and operate a business," Hart said in the release. "That includes embracing the growing number of millennials and young families – like mine – who are moving here and choosing to call Hinsdale home."
The news release included praise from former Gov. Jim Edgar, who runs a leadership program in which Hart took part in 2021.
"Greg works in a cooperative manner, respects others’ points of view, and endeavors to solve problems," Edgar said. "I believe Greg is one of the most impressive young leaders in Illinois."
Hart is a management consultant. He and his wife, Alex, are parents to three young children and have lived in Hinsdale since 2017.
Hart will be sworn in at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Village Hall.
