Check Out Hinsdale Central's Homecoming Week Schedule
The week began Monday with a pep rally and culminates Saturday with a parade, football game and dance.
It's Homecoming Week at Hinsdale Central.
The 2013 Homecoming Court was announced Monday afternoon to kick off the rock-and-roll themed week, which features dress-up days, Red Devils sports events, a school wide barbecue and a pair of pep rallies.
The week will culminate Saturday with a parade, football game and dance in Hinsdale.
Here's the full schedule:
Monday
- Song of the day: Rock and Roll All Nite, KISS
- Dress theme: Pajama Day
- Events: Pep rally to announce Homecoming Court, 2:40 p.m.
Tuesday
- Song of the day: Back in Black, AC/DC
- Dress theme: Blackout Day (all black)
- Events: Girls Tennis vs. Glenbard West, 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday
- Song of the day: People Are Strange, The Doors
- Dress theme: Wacky Wednesday (weird outfits)
- Events: Homecoming BBQ during all lunch hours
Thursday
- Song of the day: I Love Rock 'n' Roll, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
- Dress theme: Favorite band or concert t-shirt
- Events: Girls Cross Country vs. York, 4:30 p.m.; Girls Volleyball vs. Willowbrook, 6 p.m.
Friday
- Song of the day: Runnin' With the Devil, Van Halen
- Dress theme: Red Devils spirit day
- Events: Pep rally, 1:30 p.m.; Boys Soccer vs New Trier, 4:45 p.m.
Homecoming Saturday
- Homecoming Parade, 9:30 a.m.
- Boys Soccer vs. Willowbrook, 9:30 a.m.
- Boys Football vs. Lyons Township, 12 p.m.
- Homecoming Dance, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Queen and King Crowning, 10 p.m.
