Clarendon Hills Road Projects Start

Affected residents and businesses were notified by letter Friday, the village said.

CLARENDON HILLS, IL – Road projects are starting Monday in Clarendon Hills, affecting residents and businesses, the village said.

The projects include Holmes Avenue and 56th and 58th streets. They are set to be done by the end of August, weather permitting, according to a village statement Friday.

Another major project is the parking lot for Village Hall and the local library.

The village's work also includes a water tower in the 200 block of Middaugh Road and a water intake location in the 200 block of Burlington Avenue, according to the village.

The projects are paid for by state money, gas tax income and village money, according to the statement.

The village plans to post no-parking signs throughout construction. Work is set to last each weekday from 7 a.m. to as late as 6 p.m. If permitted, Saturday work may occur and start at 8 a.m.

Trash will be picked up as scheduled, the village said.
