Clarendon Hills Trustee Resigns; Replacement Nominated

An 18-year resident has been nominated to serve the next two years of the term.

CLARENDON HILLS, IL – Clarendon Hills Trustee Steve Tuttle has resigned after serving 2½ years.

On Monday, the Village Board is expected to vote on Village President Eric Tech's nomination of Denise Kavuliak to replace Tuttle. Her term will last through April 2027.

Patch is seeking more information about Tuttle's departure. In July 2022, he was appointed to fill the seat left vacant by Trustee Carol Jorissen, who moved out of the village.

The village's agenda included a biography about Kavuliak, an 18-year resident of Clarendon Hills.

She moved to town with her husband, Jozef Kavuliak, to raise their three children.

She received a bachelor's degree in international studies from DePaul University in 1993 and a master's degree in economics from University College Dublin in 1995.

Before becoming a stay-at-home mother, Kavuliak worked as an economic consultant in the transfer pricing group at PricewaterhouseCoopers International.

In Clarendon Hills, Kavuliak has been involved in organizations such as the Hinsdale Junior Women's Club and Walker Elementary School's parent-teacher organization.

Since 2015, she has devoted her time to the local chapter of the National Charity League.
